2010 Open House

Open House at Ruidoso Public Library, December 15th

Why visit the public library?  Visit us all day long December 15th to explore our wide variety of services.  Ruidoso Public Library is hosting an Open House from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, December 15th.

Preschool Storytime will be The 3 Gingerbread Cowgirls & the Gingerbread Cookie Monster, at 10:30 am, followed by a Gingerbread Brunch.  Rice and Kinnan will play sing-a-longs from noon to 1:30.  Lincoln County Winds will perform holiday music at 3pm.  Join in the community spirit with a wiki-wall greeting card for all while sipping warm beverages and sweet snacks.

You may sample our internet access, magazines, genealogy databases, audiobooks, Adult Basic Education materials, and obituary search assistance.  Games, a gingerbread house contest, crafts, and more audiobooks will be on display downstairs in our Children’s Department.  We will have tours, every hour and half-hour, throughout the day for you to meet our staff and ask questions.  Looking for homeschooling resources?  Have a research paper next semester?  This would be a great opportunity to visit with our library staff and learn how we can help you.
If you are asking Santa for a digital media player (MP3 or iPod), stop by to set up a NetLibrary account so you can fill it up with audiobooks Christmas morning.  Peruse our DVD and VHS movie collections to fill these long winter nights.
