Anonymous: Go Ask Alice:
I first read this book when I was in high school (yes, back in the dark ages!). I was blown away at the honesty and sincerity that the author reveals. This is the journal of a young girl who accidentally gets hooked on drugs and her life-long struggle to get away from them. She journals (which to teens today, that would be blogging) on anything and everything that she can get her hands on. Through each journal entry, we watch as her life spins out of control and the reader is held captive as she finally seeks help from her family. This book will open your eyes to mistakes that many people make, both young and old, and the shocking end reverberates throughout the reader’s soul. Excellent and shocking all at the same time. I recommend this book to anyone who has a curious side. By: Laura Eisenberg - Teen Librarian
