As we kick off our first Summer Reading Program for teens, we had a positive turn out. It is very exciting when you join different creative minds and put them to work in one room. The purpose if this activity was to use your creativity. Teens had to study six very famous paintings then describe and write what they felt as they stared at the painting. It was a good way for them to share a bit of their imagination with all of us.
We are still working on our other big "Book and Movie" activity, The Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, We will continue having discussions over the six chapters they are required to read each week. When they complete the book participants will view the movie at Sierra Cinema for a private showing as it hits Theaters on July 15th.
