Ruidoso Public Library will be closed on July 4th, 5th, and 6th in honor of Independence Day.

 

 We will reopen on Monday, July 7th at 9:00 am

 
 

Thursday, July 10th at 6:00 pm is our next Free Outdoor Concert featuring Slightly Bent from Bent, NM. They will be playing an "eclectic mix of Country, Bluegrass, Rock, and Reggae."


 Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the show!
 
 

Sunday, July 13th at 2:00 Ruidoso Public Library Presents: Manya The Living History of Marie Curie at the Ruidoso Convention Center.
 

Marie Curie is best known for the discovery of radium and radioactivity as well as the first treatments for cancer; but few understand the obstacles she faced just to get into the laboratory. From the political oppression of her childhood, to scientific emergence and fame, to tragedy that forced her into single motherhood as well as further world prominence, Manya's story reveals a compelling journey. This is a two hour program, with intermission. This is Free to the public and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
