Welcome May

May is going to be an exciting month here at the library.

The children's department is getting all geared up for another exciting Summer Reading Program. FIZZ! BOOM! READ! Hands on Summer Science is the theme for this summer. Early Registration is on May 19 and the fun begins on June 2. Call or stop by the children's department for more information.

Speaking of the Children's library. Wednesday, May 7th at 10:30 am is a Mother's Day Picnic with preschoolers and toddlers. The library will provide chips, drinks, and dessert.  Please provide your own sandwich.

Later that day, (4:30pm) there will be a Jolly Jumping House at the library for some jumping fun. We must have a signed release form for all those wishing to jump.

Friday, May 9th at 11am, we are continuing our Pushing the Limits series with a book talk about Eric Larsen's book Thunderstruck, as well as a discussion on Future Technology presented by local Science teacher Bill Pfeil. Bill will discuss technology during the time period the book was set in and what we will see in the future. We will also discuss ways in which technology has affected our lives.
