It's a little thing called LIFE!

Have you ever asked yourself "why is this happening to me?" i know i sure have. In this film you will find a powerful yet life changing adventure. Like that saying says "it might be stormy now, but it can't rain forever". It truly is a great film, and since this is MAKE A DIFFERENCE WEEK, I believe this film has and will continue to make a difference.

Photobucket

Some Days are Better Than Others is a poetic, character-driven film that asks why the good times slip by so fast while the difficult times seem so sticky. The film explores ideas of abundance, emptiness, human connection and abandonment while observing an interweaving web of awkward characters who maintain hope by inventing their own forms of communication and self-fulfillment. Some Days are Better Than Others is a sad valentine to the forgotten discards of a throwaway society, and is a story about knowing when to hold on, and when to let go.

For more information about the film go to the website below.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY

It's the biggest week ever for Volunteering. Join us and help others on Make A Difference Day, the nation's largest day of service.

It's true that together we can change the world one person at a time. So ask yourself this "what have you done to make a difference?" Helped a person in need? Volunteered at your local library? Anything counts really. It's amazing to know that when you help out you are making a difference. So this week we are doing everything we can to help out. We librarians are making a difference by encouraging people to "go green" live an eco-friendly life. So, we put together a incredible, yet informational display on how to "go green" and the benefits of it.

STOP SMOKING

Richard J. McMcarty, M.D., presents two methods to quit smoking at the Ruidoso Public Library on October 1 at 1:30pm or October 8 at 1:30pm in the Archive Room. Only one one-hour session needs to be attended to receive the necessary information.

Learn about two methods to rid yourself of the attachment to unhealthy and expensive cigarettes. Either method will get a person off cigarettes within weeks at no cost, no gum and no pills.

So the question is: Do you REALLY want to quit smoking? That is all you need...a clear desire to quit. Both methods work by uncoupling you from physical and psychological attachment to cigarettes.

Dr. McCarty is a retired Professor of Cardiology at the University of Arizona. He has 40 years of clinical experience as a practicing Cardiologist. He is a summer resident of Ruidoso, enjoying the cool mountain air to the long, hot
summer in Tucson.

Dr. McCarty is the Library's preschool story hour Grandpa Ritchie. Every summer, he volunteers to read to the young ones on Thursday mornings.

A special thanks to Sharon Stewart our Program Coordinator for putting yet another great program together. It was a success.

"The feelings I have for her are ones I never had for anyone. Her voice, her smile. I want to protect her, I want her to see me as more than a best friend. I want her to see me as her lover. There is another option. I am him, but will she ever see that? I feel we are connected somehow, a forever type connection, I will not give up hope. I love you Bella Marie Swan."

Cirque Du Freak - The Vampire Assistant

ABOUT THE MOVIE: Darren Shan is a regular teenage kid. He and his friend Steve find out about a Freak Show coming to town an work hard at trying to find tickets. They do, and together they go to "Cirque du Freak" where they see many strange acts including a wolf-man and a bearded lady. Steve and Darren think that it is all a joke until a vampire, Larten Crepsley comes on with a very poisonous spider that he makes do tricks. When Steve sees this man he freaks out a bit but won't tell Darren why. After the show, Steve tells Darren to go home, and that he will follow later. Darren says yes but instead sneaks upstairs to see what Steve is up to. He sees Steve talking to Mr. Crepsley and overhears their conversation. Steve tells Mr. Crepsley that he knows that his real name is Vur Horston an is a Vampire and he tells Larten that he would like to join him and become an apprentice.
In theaters Obtober 23rd
This film is based on The Cirque Du Freak Series By: Darren Shan

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Drink human blood? Disgusting! But if Darren Shan wants to stay alive, he's got no other choice.

Darren just wants to be normal; he wants to have friends, get along with his parents and basically fit in. Life was pretty normal until he attended a freak show with his best friend Steve. Steve got himself mixed up with a vampire, and when he was involved in a near-fatal accident, Darren became a half-vampire to save him.

My thoughts – This looks like a good movie something I am sure I will watch. Since I read the “twilight Saga” I’ve gotten into the whole vampire are back in novels. I am looking forward on reading the books. You know what they say…the books are always better than the movies.
